6K a year 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago As we continue to grow and expand, Heart Care Centers of Illinois, a multi-site network of cardiovascular providers, has a full-time opening for a front desk clinic Patient Representative.
As the first point of contact with our patients at our clinic, the ideal individual will have an outstanding personality and excellent customer service skills.
This individual must be able to communicate effectively with all individuals from patients to peers to physicians.
Must have a proven ability to work effectively in a high volume medical office/clinic environment.
Specific duties will include:
Greeting and registering patients in a timely manner, ensuring thorough and accurate information is entered/scanned in accordance with company procedures; verify patient insurance, check-out patients after appointments, including scheduling any follow-up appointments/testing; Collecting patient co-pays, account balances, and/or referrals per company procedures; track collected payments on a daily basis; Tracking all patient encounter forms from the generation of the form all the way through the acceptable submission to HCCI billing department; Promptly answering and appropriately managing/routing of incoming phone calls
Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant Certificate preferred; knowledge of physician billing and insurance is a plus A minimum of one year experience working in the health care industry/medical environment is preferred Must respect the confidential nature of medical information Must have experience in a high volume medical office setting Heart Care Centers of Illinois offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits and retirement package, as well as a weekday only schedule.
